After a long winter season, it's time to warm up. While the temperature outside is rising, perhaps it's time to match your interior and go for a warm color palette for your next room design.

Today's inspiration is a room design in sunshine yellow (courtesy ICP images). It not only brings the warmth from the outside in, but it exudes warmth itself. The main focus in the room is the paint itself. And because a coat of paint is the least expensive and quickest way to update a room, we see this as a budget-friendly design. To tie the design together, furniture in white and accents in pale green are repeated. Lastly, fresh flowers are used to give even more warmth to the room and add to the subtle botanical theme of the room.
If this is a room you'd like to have in your own home, here are a few suggestions on how to achieve this look:
Stanley Furniture has some gorgeous cabinetry and bookcases in solid white wood. These are some that we think would work great with this design:

You don't necessarily need to only have white furniture. Since green is one of the accent colors, you could also design with furniture in green wood instead of white. Stanley furniture has an option for this design as well:

Even though the design featured a sisal rug, we'd like to show you another alternative. After all, sisal rugs are available almost anywhere - it would be redundant for us to add it here. The alternative design that we like, however, features all three colors in the main design. This beautiful and absolutely sunny cherry blossom rug can be purchased from
Adam Norris Home.

To resemble the fern artwork in our inspiration room, we'd like to suggest artwork by artist Samuel Curtis. We especially liked this particular fern with crackled mat design:

And lastly, if you'd like
custom window treatments that will go nicely with this design, we recommend the following fabrics (do not forget, we specialize in
valances):
Bold yellow fabric with a contemporary twist:

Chartier in Saffron 11034
This fabric is great if you'd like to pick up on the botanical and fern designs and make this room a bit more exotic.

Foliage in Bay Leaf 11134
This is also a botanical fabric, but it has a great texture that can add depth to a room.

Maplemoor in Leaf 10819
For a more subdued, traditional look with country accents, choose this fabric.

Milford in Vestige 11057
