Valances on Medallions

Drapery medallions, or holdbacks as they are also sometimes called, are great for valances. The position of drapery medallions can be easily adjusted, making them great on complicated windows like bay windows and bow windows, for example.

Drapery medallions come in two pieces - the decorative knob and the post adapter. The post adapter is the long piece that projects from the wall. If you choose to install draperies underneath the valance, make sure that the post adapter is at least 5 1/2 inches long. Drapery medallions are readily available at your local curtain hardware stores.
