If you'd like to dress your window in a drapery that is a bit more unique than a pleated drapery, then our pleated drapery on holdbacks may appeal to you. The drapery features two-fold pleats, but each pleat also has a wide tab that is installed onto a holdback for added interest.
Our custom draperies feature blind stitched, hand-sewn bottom hems, premium lining, a floating bottom hem and include weighted corners. Each pleat is crafted by hand. Patterns are matched across seams. Interlining and trims are optional.
TIP: Because this drapery is installed onto holdbacks, it can span across adjacent windows and walls that are at a small angle to each other. This drapery works great on a bow window.

| Product-Specific Frequently Asked Questions | Can I use a valance with these medallion-installed draperies? Yes you can, but the valance you need will be the kind that goes under the drapery, not over it. Inside-mounted London valances go great when paired up with this drapery.
Where can I purchase these medallions? Drapery medallions, sometimes also referred to as drapery holdbacks, can be found at major drapery hardware dealers. You can find them online or at your major local decorator fabric store. Each should come with a decorative knob (the visible part) and a post extender (the part that extends it away from the wall).
What is a floating bottom hem? This means that the different layers of each drapery are not attached at one single bottom hem, but instead, flow freely, with each layer having its own hem. This requires blind stitching, which conceals any seams. Floating bottom hems are essential in custom draperies because they prevent any bunching up or sagging of fabric.

Do I need to buy drapery rings? Yes, you need drapery rings that match your curtain pole. Each pleated drapery arrives with drapery pins already in place.
When should I get interlining? Interlining gives a drapery more shape so it's always a wise choice. It is especially good for some fabrics that need strength such as faux silks and required for 100% silks to prevent fading by the sun and silk rotting. Interlining is one of the most effective ways to lessen the effects of sun damage and outside noises. It also prolongs the lifespan of a custom window treatment and mitigates the effects of severe outside heat or cold.
How far away from the ceiling is a drapery installed? We recommend installing the medallions right underneath the ceiling (or crown moulding). This will add height to your room.
What does patterns are matched across seams mean? Drapery fabrics come in standard widths. For that reason, any drapery wider than the actual fabric width must have several panels sewn together. This requires that patterns flow continuously across seams. The following is an example of one of our pattern-matched draperies:
