Tie Top Valance with Banding

Available widths: 46" to 200"

This simple valance with ties allows you to design with two fabrics of choice and create a unique custom valance. The valance is a versatile custom tie top valance that can accommodate almost any drapery rod diameter. The 2-inch banding at the bottom creates not only an interesting feature, but it also allows to even dress French doors and sliding doors without any obstructions.

Large prints are centered onto the valance and patterns are matched across seams professionally. Each valance is fully lined with quality drapery lining. Interlining is optional. The valance hangs slightly gathered on a decorative curtain pole without a return. This product is custom made to order in our Priority Windows USA workroom.

Product-Specific Frequently Asked Questions
I'm confused. Do I use the actual width or the gathered width when measuring for this valance?
The actual width tells you the width of the valance when it is laid flat. However, the valance is intended to be gathered only, so the gathered width is what you will need to consider when measuring your window.

What kind of drapery pole do I need for this valance?
The beauty of this valance is that its tie-top construction allows a variety of drapery pole sizes. Choose a drapery pole with a diameter anywhere between 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches.

Can I pair this valance up with draperies?
Yes. You just have to make sure that your valance projects at least five inches from the window to ensure that draperies can fit underneath it. You will need a matching wooden or metal bracket that extends at least five inches. Those are quite inexpensive and readily available at many retailers who sell drapery hardware.

Will this valance work on a bay or bow window?
Yes, slightly gathered valances like this easily fit onto a bay or bow window. You can get one single wide valance to extend across all window sections all together.

What kinds of trims do you suggest? I'm afraid that I will pick the wrong kind.
Each product has already been configured to allow you to choose only trims that will work with it. Short trims are not offered on valances with deep, voluminous folds and similarly, big and bulky trims aren't an option when it comes to scalloped products with sharp edges and curves that need to be sewn with utmost attention to detail. Feel free to choose any trim that the product allows in its drop-down list. And remember, colors don't have to match exactly, but they need to go together.

The fabric that I'd like is not an option for this product.
More than likely, the fabric repeat or the way that the prints are centered on the fabric may compromise the shape or look of this valance. We have taken those fabrics off the list so that you get a product with perfectly centered prints.

How do I install this valance so that it clears a French door or sliding door?
Install it higher up towards the ceiling so that it ends at the top frame of the door.

Will the seams be visible?
Seams are very common in custom window treatments and occur because fabrics are manufactured in standard widths. Unless you inspect the valance in great detail and look at it up close, they won't be visible. Patterns are matched across the seams, so the seams will be hidden from view.
