Three Scoop Rod Pocket Valance

Available widths: 40" to 48"

Our custom three scoop valance is a flat, ungathered valance that will work in any room. If you need to dress a window in a children's room, a bright and whimsical country kitchen, or a sophisticated dining room, this valance may be just the right choice. It features a scalloped swoop design. Its 3-inch rod pocket allows it to easily slide onto a drapery pole or continental rod. If installed onto a continental rod, this valance is great to get that look that mimics a cornice.

Possible valance widths: 40, 44, 46, or 48 inches. A return up to 5 1/2 inches is available should you choose to install this valance onto a continental rod. Excluding trim, the valance is 23 inches long. A 27-inch version is available for tall windows. Each valance is fully lined with quality drapery lining. Trim and interlining are optional. If you choose face fabrics with large prints, they will be centered onto each valance.

This product is custom made to order in our Priority Windows USA workroom.

Product-Specific Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the valance?
At the lowermost point, the valance can either be 23 or 27 inches long, excluding any trims. We recommend the 27-inch length only if your valance is installed at least 9 feet from the floor.

What kind of curtain rod do I need for this valance?
You will need a decorative pole up to 1 5/8 inches in diameter if no return is selected. If you order a valance with a return, and prefer the look of a cornice, then you will need a 2 ½-inch wide flat continental rod.

Can I install this valance with draperies underneath?
Yes, but you have to make sure that the drapery pole projects at least 5 inches away from the wall, or that your returns are at least 5 inches if you choose to install the valance onto a continental rod. This is needed to clear enough room for the draperies to be installed underneath.

Do I need to add trim?
If you want a valance with more structure or just prefer the overall look of trim, then yes. If you prefer not to use trim or want a softer, more free-flowing valance, then you don't need to add trim.

What kinds of trims do you suggest? I'm afraid that I will pick the wrong kind.
Each product has already been configured to allow you to choose only trims that will work with it. Short trims are not offered on valances with deep, voluminous folds and similarly, big and bulky trims aren't an option when it comes to scalloped products with sharp edges and curves that need to be sewn with utmost attention to detail. Feel free to choose any trim that the product allows in its drop-down list. And remember, colors don't have to match exactly, but they need to go together.

Why is the fabric that I like not available from the selection?
Likely, it is inappropriate and would jeopardize the shape and look of the valance. You will not find such fabrics available as an option.
