Fit your bay window, bow window, arched window, palladian window or French door.

Simple, yet very versatile - our pinch pleat custom valance can be made for small windows or it can be made for that extra wide 4-section window or sliding door. This style can also fit bay windows and bow windows. Widths between 26 and 165 inches are available. Each valance features deep pinch pleats that are each professionally formed by hand. Accent band at the bottom and fabric-covered buttons are optional.

Use a decorative pole and curtain rings to install. Hardware not included. Valance arrives with drapery pins already inserted into place. This valance is fully lined with our premium white lining. Interlining is optional.

I see in the product description that this valance fits bay and bow windows. If I have a bay or bow window, do I need one valance or several valances?
You will need one valance that is wide enough to span the entire window. As far as hardware, you will need several poles for all the window sections and elbow hinges to connect them. We recommend wooden poles because those can be cut to the right size with a saw and holes can be drilled into each end to accommodate the elbow hinges and decorative finials. Make sure that the curtain rings are larger than the diameter of your curtain pole.

Will this valance fit on sliding doors without being an obstruction?
The shortest valance length possible is 14 inches. With curtain rings, the shortest version will be about 16 to 17 inches in length total. Measure 17 inches below your ceiling line or crown molding to see whether or not this valance is short enough to work. It's ok if it spans past the top of the sliding door, but it must be short enough for someone to pass underneath.

How do I measure my French door?
Measure the width of the panes of your door (a standard French door generally has no grids or a pane with three grids). Add 2 to 3 inches to your measured width to see which valance width you need to choose under options.

Should I get interlining?
If you want the valance to have more volume and a better shape, if you choose thinner face fabrics (i.e. faux silks), then we recommend interlining.

The fabric (or trim) that I want to add is not available in the options. Why?
If the name of the fabric (or trim) is not available under options, then it isn't appropriate for this specific valance. We have taken those items off the list to make sure that you don't design products that will look poorly on your window.

If I add the accent fabric band at the bottom of the valance, will my valance be longer than the length that I choose?
No, the length that you choose is the final length of the valance, top to bottom, regardless of what you add on to it. However, do keep in mind that the length measurement excludes the extra length that curtain rings add.
