Ring Style London Valance with Detachable Bows

Available widths: 27" to 47"

This beautiful London valance with bows can be customized to bring a little fun into any room. Dress a living room window with deep red and gold fabrics or soften up a child's room with whimsical pastel colors. Depending on which fabric you choose, this valance has the potential to fit many different rooms. Each valance comes with two detachable bows that match the banding detail on it. Large prints are centered onto each valance.

Each valance is fully lined with quality drapery lining. Interlining is optional. The valance hangs flat on a curtain rod with a return up to 2 inches. A 3-inch rod pocket is standard. Widths that will work with this shape: 27 to 47 inches. Length can be manually adjusted. When choosing the length, we recommend that you keep it in proportion with the width of the valance. An adjusted length between 19 to 24 inches works best for valances wider than 38 inches. This product is custom made to order in our Priority Windows USA workroom.

Product-Specific Frequently Asked Questions
Can this valance be wider?
Our professionals have determined the ideal widths to be between 27 and 47 inches for this valance. This valance cannot be made wider because its centered festoon would lose its shape. We suggest either balloon or tailed balloon valances as an alternative, which we also offer online.

Can you make this longer to cover my French door?
We don't recommend this particular valance any longer than what we offer. The longer it gets, the more it becomes a regular panel and less a valance. The gathered bottom hem is the focus of this valance and a long version of it would draw your eye down (not to mention that it would compromise the shape). Many people misunderstand London valances. They are not intended to cover a window entirely. They are commonly made to cover 1/4 or 1/2 of your window (or even 2/3 of some short windows).

I want to install this valance onto my French door but I am afraid or unable to drill into it. What should I do?
If your door is made of a metallic material that can't be drilled into, try a magnetic curtain rod. There is no drilling involved at all.

What kinds of trims do you suggest? I'm afraid that I will pick the wrong kind.
Each product has already been configured to allow you to choose only trims that will work with it. Short trims are not offered on valances with deep, voluminous folds and similarly, big and bulky trims aren't an option when it comes to scalloped products with sharp edges and curves that need to be sewn with utmost attention to detail. Feel free to choose any trim that the product allows in its drop-down list. And remember, colors don't have to match exactly, but they need to go together.

The fabric that I'd like is not an option for this product.
More than likely, the fabric repeat or the way that the prints are centered on the fabric may compromise the shape or look of this valance. We have taken those fabrics off the list so that you get a product with perfectly centered prints.

What is the difference between shirred London valances and gathered London valances?
Gathered London valances have deeper folds whereas shirred London valances have slightly narrower folds. The centered festoon, however, is gathered across more length in a shirred valance whereas the folds in a gathered valance stack up and sit on each other at the bottom of the festoon.
