Board-Mounted Bellamy Valance with Pleats and Long Jabots

Available widths: 28" to 58"

Our Bellamy valance is one of our most elegant custom valances available. And for an even more classic and traditional look, try adding heavy curtains underneath this valance.

The Bellamy window valance rests on a self-lined cornice board. Its flat swags alternate between deep box pleats and long jabots cap off each side. Swags are lined in our premium lining and each jabot is lined in the accent fabric of your choice.

Choose from three widths: 28-30 inches (one swag), 40-44 inches (two swags), or 53-58 inches (3 swags). Excluding trims, jabot length is 33 inches. Choose either a 3 1/2-inch or 5 1/2-inch board projection. Interlining and trims are optional. This product is custom made to order in our Priority Windows USA workroom.

Product-Specific Frequently Asked Questions
What is a self-lined board?
It's a board that's covered in the main fabric of a window treatment onto which the treatment is then installed.

Is this valance mounted inside or outside of the window?
It's mounted outside. All valances with elaborate jabots such as this one are mounted outside of the window.

Can I put draperies under this valance?
Yes, you can. If you wanted your window to appear larger, you could add a substantial allowance for a grand look. Make sure to select a 5 1/2-inch projection to clear the draperies underneath. Consult our guide to measuring for valances for more details.

Will this valance work on a bay or bow window?
There is a possibility. If there is substantial space (at least 11 inches) between each individual window, it should work. Opt for the smallest possible board projection and calculate a small allowance for each window.

How would I install this valance on a palladium/arched window?
You'd simply mount it outside of your window frame, at the base of the arch.

Can you make this in a different width?
We're sorry, but this valance is only available in widths between 28 and 58 inches.

If I choose a fabric with large prints, will you center the fabric prints on the swags?
Yes, we will.

What kinds of trims do you suggest? I'm afraid that I will pick the wrong kind.
Each product has already been configured to allow you to choose only trims that will work with it. Short trims are not offered on valances with deep, voluminous folds and similarly, big and bulky trims aren't an option when it comes to scalloped products with sharp edges and curves that need to be sewn with utmost attention to detail. Feel free to choose any trim that the product allows in its drop-down list. And remember, colors don't have to match exactly, but they need to go together.

Why is the fabric that I like not available from the selection?
Likely, it is inappropriate and would jeopardize the shape and look of the valance. You will not find such fabrics under options.
