If you would like your table runner to hang generously on each side, measure your table, then add about 17 to 22 inches to the total length, depending on whether trimming is desired. If you would like your table runner to hang generously off each side of your table: - Measure your table length, then add to your measured length about 17 to 20 inches if you choose tassels or trims, or 20 to 22 inches if you choose no tassels or trims.
If you would like your table runner to sit on the table surface only: - Measure as needed (we don't recommend tassels or trims for this option).
How wide should my table runner be?
You are free to choose any width that you'd like. There is no set rule and you can choose any width without the fear of making the wrong choice. There are table runners that are 150 inches long and only 15 inches wide and there are also table runners that are only 50 inches long and 20 inches wide. As you can see, they come in all shapes and sizes. The length is far more important than the width. Having said that, the wider a table runner is, the better positioned large-scale prints will be.
Are the prints the same on each side?
Yes, they are. Large-scale prints, for example, are centered and placed identically on both sides. There are no visible seams because our table runners feature hand-sewn closures.
Are your table runners reversible?
They are reversible if you add no trim or add tassels. You really get your money's worth because in essence, it's like having two table runners for the price of one. You'll especially appreciate this feature should you ever get a stain on our table runners (most of our fabrics have a soil- and stain-repellent finish by the way). If you add tassel trim or beaded trim, the table runner may or may not be reversible. | |
