As we all know, interior decorating is a little bit like fashion. Just like fashion may become trendy and go out of style, so can your home's style as well. Yes, we know that classics never go out of style, but sometimes your home craves that trendy, unexpected detail. Today's trends in home decorating all say that contemporary is in right now. Contemporary design can be a bit unusual sometimes. This is especially evident when looking at some mirror designs that are out there. Of course, not all mirrors are contemporary. Some are contemporary, some are traditional, and a few are so unusual, it is very hard to determine which kind of style they should belong to.
Styles and definitions aside, we set out to find what is unique, and these are the top eight mirrors that we absolutely fell in love with:
#8:

Ah, the seashell mirror. When you look at it, you hear the ocean in the background and want to instantly limbo dance. Like it or not, a seashell mirror gives a room a good vibe, so we were definitely biased in putting it on the list. (Courtesy

#7:

This rich mirror in a classic gold frame was a formidable contender. With another frame inside the actual mirror, you could see why we were sold on this one. We especially like mirrors in bathrooms. Many people underestimate what a big difference just changing the mirror in a bathroom can make. Go ahead, we dare you. You can thank us later. (Courtesy

#6:

There was just something "celtic" about this mirror, as if only those who were getting ready for a jousting duel could use it. Well, we were out to find unique mirrors, and it does not get any more unique (or strange) than this one. (Courtesy

#5:

Simply put, this mirror is just plain pretty. Its concave shape, combined with a mirrored frame that resembles the petals of a flower, makes for a nice focal point in any room. (Courtesy

#4:

Ooh la la! If we were to locate this mirror, would we perhaps find it in an upscale Paris penthouse? Wherever it is, who would not want it to be in
their home instead? (Courtesy

#3:

No, there is no frame around this mirror. It is the architectural detail that makes this mirror so unique. Custom-cut into a three-piece display that fits perfectly in this space, this mirror looks like it was made for this bathroom, literally. (Courtesy

#2:

In the design world, someone is always trying to reinvent the headboard. We especially loved this reinvention. Just to think how hard it is to find a mirror this size, let alone one that would be the right height and width for a king bed is enough to give this mirror the number two spot. (Courtesy

#1:

We fell in love with this mirror the moment we saw it. Its hand-carved frame is so unexpected. Also, the designer's choice of a beautiful aqua with the brick red in the mirror is a lovely decision. What a beautiful focal point to have in a room... (Courtesy
